In commemoration of all the faithful departed (all souls day), we are reminded by the Lord that all those who have gone before us have not really died but their righteousness while living in the world have brought them to be at peace in the hand of God (Wisdom 3:1-3).
Hope has now made them immortal after being tested and be found to be worthy of God.
Their departure from the world may have caused mourning for those whom they left but their arrival in heaven will cause rejoicing and dancing for all those who shall welcome them.
Lord, in this memorable day that we are reminded of our love ones who have gone before us to reunite themselves with you, we humbly pray that you extend to them our deepest love and gratitude for all the good things that they have done in our lives. Truly, they became your instruments of love that made us what we are today. We are the fruits of your vine and they are the branches who had bear us. May they all be forever at peace in your hands in Jesus Name. Amen.
